Thankyou, Josh, for making it possible for the performance to be heard again. I didn't dream that this was going to happen when I mentioned that I had a recording!
Thanks, also, to my sister who kept the records safe enabling me to make the tape. She is singing soprano and me alto on this recording.

Ah .. MIDDX.NET in jovial mood. As an afterthought, though, it would be nice to be that well thought of for all our endless hard work and performances we gave. (Just off to practise signing!!)

Have autographed a photo and so, to save me from appearing vain, I hope that other ex-choir members will do the same if ever they see this site! The photo I chose marked the end of an era for me.

Annother chance to hear Mellow Lane's superby choir from the 1950s.

And thanks again, Jon. This recording could have been around 1960, but not quite sure. Will try to check it out some time. :-)

This recording brings back memories for me because I'm in there somewhere among the basses. Those Chhristmas concerts are some of the most precious memories of schooldays. Where do I sign?

Yes, David and myself. My sister is also on the recording and she has contributed to the site in a way, providing some pictures and cuttings. Also, passing the record on to me. I was sorry that Margaret Menzies didn't post any more because she was one of the choir's top soloists. Maybe she will, again, if she sees this. I hope so.
