I was a paper boy 1950/1952 on Harlington High Street,covered from the Great Western to Cranford Lane then on to New Road to school,I just can't recall a Caravan site, can you remember where it was. Rexy

The caravan site was at the top of Manor Lane in an old orchard,it was large about 75 sites and was built to bring all the caravans together and as people were able to get other housing that particular site became vacant,when we were in Hayes in 2002 we went to visit the place where it used to be and it is now either a school or school offices,
there was a small cemetery opposite the entrance to the caravan site.The cemetery is still there as I saw it on Google Earth website,

Hello Rexy,Thanks for your interest in the photos
I realised last evening the Municipal Caravan Site wasn't opened until about 1955-56 maybe that's why you didn't remember it as you delivered papers in the area 1950 to 1952?
