Josh, local historian P. Sherwood may be able to say when and where the picture was taken, but the postcard certainly has the feel of Freemans Lane.

I'm sure that it IS Freemans Lane. Had a friend who lived in one on the right.Used to play there regularly in the 50's.( The Royal Oak was on the left, just out of the picture.)

Yes, this is definitely Freeman's Lane at the Church Rd. end, right opp. the 'Royal Oak'. In about the 60s, they were pulled down & the present cottages built. I, too, had a friend who lived in the first cottage on the right . . . name of George Bushby or Busby . . . I believe his parents were from the north.
