I do seem to remember a farrier [horseshoeing] near the top of Church Road in the late 1940s. The shop could well be where the awning is in front of the tram. I recall that it was possible for passers by to see the horses being shoed. This may explain why a horseless cart is parked across the street. If you can add anything, please do. Chris
