(see this users gallery) MIKE ABBOTT sent us this and writes: If I remember it correctly there were about eight labels pressed by EMI
in the Blyth Road plants in the early sixties including the flagship
Columbia, HMV and Capitol labels. Each 45 rpm single had its own bag
with label design and logo on the front. But on the back were
advertising messages common to all. On some bags, EMI took the
opportunity to advertise non-music products – such as this
Morphy-Richards spin dryer, available at 21½ guineas - made elsewhere by
the EMI group, not just ‘EMITEX’ record cleaner!
