According to barely legible writing under the photo, the people shown include Marian Cutts, J.Gilden, J.king, J.Powell, Rob Dorey (I think), Sylvia Allen, and Ken Jones.

Excellent! I think we know someone who'll find this very interesting!

Yes, it is very interesting for me and quite a surprise too! I had forgotten we had gone to Ivinghoe. I can see John Forrest in his hiking boots and striped pullover. Bob Dory is next to him.

I should of course have taken this photo from the front, but I was more interested in getting the people in the scenery. As Marian is the first named I'm sure she is the one on the far left. Thanks for confirming Bob's name, I couldn't read my own handwriting!

I think you're right in thinking the one you picked out on the left is me. It looks like Marlene Massingham behind me and the couple further over could be Carole Washbourne and Barry Jones. On the front right of the picture is definitely Ann Bridger but I can't recognise the girl with her. I'm sorry if I am mistaken with the others but am almost certain they are correct. Ivinghoe Beacon is a popular place, especially for a day's outing. There is a parking area there (could be that field) where it is nice to sit and enjoy the view, as on the photo, across the Vale of Aylesbury and towards Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire.
