Would it be possible to have a close-up scan of those cars in the car park?

I think that is where I used to stand (where those people are) to wave my relatives off when they were going home to the U.S.A. Also, I remember standing somewhere along there with Stephanie, my Mellow Lane school-friend, to see Yuri Gagarin, the first Spaceman. ( I may have spelt the name wrong). There were huge crowds there then.

I'm glad the pic has brought back memories, that's what it's there for. This goes for the chaps who are trying to identify all the cars. In those days there was access to the roof of the Queens Building and the Passenger Building which is now Terminal Two. That one gave the better view of people boarding planes. I hope to upload more pics taken that day when I've scanned them.

Just a little added info, remember my grandad taking me to the airport, there also used to be children's rides on the roof of the Q.B. andalso asmall gift shop, still have a lapel badge in the shape of a plane with London airport on it which came from there.
(See the photo of me and my sister at the airport in the 50's in the London Airport section)
