I went there in the late '50s! I know lots of people that learnt to ballroom dance there!
I managed to get up to silver medal standard, but then left when I became more interested in rock'n roll!

I'm actually on this photo and can tell you that Ernie Fripp is in fact on the far left handside without glasses and his sister (Edie, I think) is on the far right at the other end of that row.

message for tudal, I have another photo of my late sister with the 'man with glasses', unlike my sister (and mum) dancing was not my thing, I had just assumed it was Ernie Fripp. I stand corrected, do you know the name of this man ? Wiil upload another couple of photos soon.
