I have just been asked if we won a competition to be Hayes Carnival Queen or one of her attendants. I think it could be described that way, but took place in one evening and it was qualities to suit the job that were being looked for so we had to do the things described in the writing under the picture. :-) There were about 5 judges who were Hayes councillors.
