What a fantastic picture. The houses dont look much different but just look at all the well pruned trees and the lack of cars cluttering the pavements.

I wonder which junction this is? If it is the Longmead Rd one, I lived on the left hand side just out of the picture when I was 15/16.

Good question actually. I dont know why but I assumed it to be the junction nearest to the swimming pool (my memory lets me down on the road names). I think just because Central Avenue seems to stretch away in the photo. It would be good if anyone could tell us more.

You could be right Sam as I'm sure I was a bit nearer to the Uxbridge road! Unless of course it is the town end in the distance and not the Uxbridge Rd!!

Of course that may well be the case. I didn't think of that I think the mini roundabout looks so much nicer in this picture than the brick built blocks they have become today.
