Oh, I apologise to Jim. No offence meant! Don't know why but always thought Jim was an earlier pupil at Mellow Lane. Must be someone else Ive got mixed up with so sorry, again, for having the wrong idea.

I think there's a double meaning there! The timetable was for me when I went up to the Lower 6th. I was more interested in Shorthand than typing, but didn't stay on to complete the commercial course but learnt enough if I had wanted to get work using those abilities. I left because it was announced at school that there was a local dentist (mine) in Yeading, who required someone to train as a dental- nurse/receptionist. I went for an interview and was accepted. After completing my training, I stayed on there until I married and left to have my my first child daughter, Carolyn.
