The westward extension of the original building in 1912 is graphically illustrated by these two drain headers, seen about two-thirds of the way along the roof on the Silverdale Road side.
If you click and download the larger version, you can then see the figures for 1909 and 1912 (with a rather florid '2') quite clearly, although when I have time I'll upload two more detailed shots.
