Anybody else excited about the opening of the new Morisons on Monday? I am loking forward tobeing able to buy fresh fish in Yiewsley and somebody has to offer some competition to Tesco. I am hoping that this might kick start some other improvements in the high street but I guess these are tough times in retail.

Im for anything that takes on Tesco, saying that I would only ever shop in a Morrisons if hell froze over. I have
heard too many bad stories about their food.

The Yiewsley site has good parking. We'll give it a go - anything will be better than that Tesco.

I went up there this morning at about 10.30 and it was mayhem, the Qs were huge! It was like nobody had ever seen a super market before!!! Anyway I thought it was good and I bought some freash scallops which is a a first time in a long time since there was a real fishmonger in Yiewsley acording to my neighbour.............Probably the best thing that has happened since I have lived here (8 months)

We have ben shopping at our very local Morrisons for 5yrs, (since moving here,) & we've never had any complaints about their products!
Although it's fatal letting my o/h go there, as he buys up all the 'buy one get one free' stuff!

I even tried the W-D Morrisons yesterday and was not impressed, try putting a quart in a pint pot was my impression, and was not any cheaper, so don't have a lot going for it in this part of the world. but the big one on the Isle of Wight was super. ;) ;)

It may not be cheaper Jim but it has a far better meat section than Tesco and the car park is free.

so is Tesco, Sainsbury, Aldi, and Lidle, but then as blue badge dont pay anyway, as for Sainsbury you get a better class of customer jump the queue. ;) ;)

It's a lot better than the old Co-op and it's within walking distance for me!!!! I'm off to Tesco this week though as I didn't buy everything I needed from Morrisons last week.

Jim's right - it's a small store and you can't fit a quart into a pint pot.
