previous volumes (now out-of-print) of historic photographs. Like its
predecessors it includes some 200 old photographs of the area around Hayes,
West Drayton, Harlington and Harmondsworth. Many of these have not appeared
before and very few have been used in previous editions of the series. However,
the opportunity has been taken to include photographs that appeared in the two
out-of-print volumes of “Heathrow and District in Times Past” published in 1979
and 1983 respectively and which have not been used since.
