What have things come to when those we elect to run our affairs deliberately plan chaos and misery.
The bus lanes in Yeading Lane are now in operation, having been craftily activated during the holiday season when traffic in the morning and evening peak periods is considerably lighter.
Come September, the congestion will be unbearable. Aware of this, the authorities (you may have noticed) have repainted the A40 leading to the Target roundabout, so as to create space for the long tailbacks which they know they will cause.
Thousands of ordinary people doing no more harm than trying to get to work or get their children to school are going to suffer daily frustration and misery.

The irony is that buses will also be held up in the congestion on feeder roads to Yeading Lane, such as Kingshill Avenue. A very wide area is going to be affected.
Those who find Ken Livingstone a harmless clown might like to reflect upon the consequences of voting for him as Mayor of London. He's never liked individuals owning the private means of transport, though sees no contradiction of course in running up huge taxi bills at our expense. It is also worth mentioning that after his High Court victory over congestion charging in central London, any citizen wanting to drive a car into the capital of what we all thought was a free country will now have to REGISTER FIRST or pay a fine.
Anyone affected by this who feels the same way, please join the debate in the forum, or email webmaster@hayesmiddlesex.com.
