The Guv'nor is owned by my young son, Jed, and is very much our pride and joy. Its chassis no. is 0853-10556. Built in 1953, originally an RAF GENERATOR TRUCK, it was converted in 1970 by LW Vass and sold to Doncsater Bus Co. They then built the coahcbuilt body, and used it until the 1980s when it was sold into preservation. The reason it was first painted in the livery of Billy Smarts circus was that the owner had a connection with the circus and wanted to put it in their colours. I restored it to their striking colour scheme when I purchased it in 1996. I have attached a better picture (CLICK ON PAGE 2 BELOW).
