"Bertha", so called by the wife of Tony Binks, of
D W H Commercials, North Walsham, Norfolk,
is expected to justify her keep. She is seen here with mechanic
Keith Gotts
rescuing a fully laden Ford coal lorry which had unwisely made its first delivery
on this December morning in 1996, to Primrose Farm in Roughton, Norfolk. The Ford sank
to its axles in the soft ground and it was too early in the day for coal dust to
disguise the coalman's embarrassment as "Bertha" gave a hand.
