Last weekend First Great Western Trains held a transport event in the Slough Southall & West Drayton areas. This involved a Steam service on what remains of the ex GWR Brentford branch, using the ex GWR Steam Railmotor for this service. The Brentford branch was used by AEC to test all the GWR Diesel Railcars

They were running a train service on the remains of the ex GWR Staines West branch from West Drayto to Colnbrook using a 3 car unit
They were also running a vintage bus service from Slough Station, on a few of the ex GWR Bus Routes. There were various buses running the routes. 2 ex Thames valley Bristol K's, an ex Hants & Dorset Bristol Lodeka & a Bristol coach, and an ex Reading AEC Regent of 1956

But the star of the show by far was the EX Great Western Railway Guy of 1927. this was found in a field in Cornwall overlooking the Atlantic and was in use as a holiday home. this was the first weekend that she was carrying passengers.
