I'm in desperate need of some rear brake linings for a 1951 Regent III (eight-footer). If you can spare a set, just one side will do, please post below or call me on 07798 582889.

Thanks

Paul Williams

Okay, I have gone ahead and I've ordered a batch of linings to be made new. They're on a soft compound because with the low mileage that a preserved Regent III will do, a hard compound would take several years to bed in! I've also ordered them very slightly thinner than standard, to account for any minor clearance issues and again because with low mileages it's not really a problem of wearing down quickly.

If anyone else would like them, I can offer them for sale at £100 per pair plus delivery. I'll post a photo when I get them.

Paul

These need careful setting up to get a good brake.

Are these twin 3" wide linings?

Nope - single moulded 6.5" width.

I think these were originally available as twin nominally 3" wide linings per shoe in a 17" diameter drum, rivet pattern is the same.
If anyone can confirm I still have original material soft linings/complete lined shoes available.
