Hi

We have a Reliance coach (1961) it has a 470 engine with a Simms fuel pump, (SPE 6) we have removed it for overhaul and need fresh parts, elements etc to replace worn ones. Can anybody help any spare parts or suggest where we might try looking? I would be grateful for any help offered.

Thanks Brian

Try....

www.pslaterfie.co.uk

Peter is from the old school and knows Simms, CAV etc inside out.
He may even have the parts in stock.

Brian,

I have some new Simms SPE 6 fuel injection pumps for sale, although I am not sure which model of AEC they are for.
Please contact me if you would like more information.

Brian, unfortunately my new Simms pumps are not suitable for an AEC 470, they are cradle mounted and were built for the Leyland 350 engine in the Tiger Cub. However there is a chance that they may fit the AEC 7.7 engine, and I am going to try one on a Matador.

Regards, Martyn.
