I had a question regarding storage of AEC vehicles from Southall at the Hawker aircraft factory at Langley using blocks E & F, arranged by a Mr Skinner of AEC for a 6 month period from 17th January 1949.

What vehicles were involved, my correspondent asks?

I've got some 1949 AEC Gazettes, I don't *remember* there being any mention, but I have some gaps, and the ones I've got I haven't had time to look them out to check.

Does anyone know?

London RT chassis, possibly.

The post-war RT was built from 1946 until around 1955 but there were periods when the body-builders couldn't cope with the chassis output (and also vice-versa). London Transport eventually used additional body builders.
