Aye-up,

We are cracking on with a 505 engine rebuild. All the chunky stuff is fitted and we've come to fitting the compressor, lift pump housing and fuel pump.

I'm only the spanner passer, but my mate Matt has read in the manual that we need a special tool to fit inside the lift pump housing. The tool times the compressor and housing correctly so that the fuel pump just slides in on its master spline.

Do we need the tool, can it be done without the tool or does anyone know where we may beg, borrow or buy one?

Oh, and whilst it's wet, we want to do it tomorrow!!

Thank you.

Cheers, Pete.
