It is with great regret and sadness to report the death of Phillip (Phil) Platt on Thursday 8th December.
Phil was a very early member of the AEC Society having loved AEC vehicles operated by his local Co Devon General.
He went on to form the Devon General Society where most of the preserved vehicles owned by members are AECs
Phil was instrumental in rescuing many AEC vehicles for preservation and one of his own, a 1964 AEC Reliance with a Harrington Cavalier coach
body from the Grey Cars Devon fleet 1 RDV will be running at Phil's funeral at Exeter crematorium on Thursday 29th December at 2 PM.

My Condolences to Philip Platt's friends and family. I refer to his book on the Harrington Cavalier and Grenadier regularly.

Belated sadness to read the news of Phil Platt's passing in December 2016. (Regret have not been on this forum for a while).
