Will there be an event at Newark Showground this year? The event is usually near the end of May.

A friend and I are hoping to use the event as the public debut for our AEC Regal making its first return to action in over forty years.

To see pics of our AEC Regal, please go to the flickr website and enter "HHP755" in the search box. There, you will find various pics showing the bus, ranging from its condition when we first acquired it in 2013, to the work on the ash framework around the cab. It is, as you can probably guess, time-consuming and pound-consuming work, but whatever point we are at in the rebuild, we intend to be at the AEC Society Rally at Newark Showground in May.

Just had a look at some of the pictures, a lot of work done, but still quite a bit of work to do. She will fantastic when completed. Hope you manage to get her to the Rally.

It would be nice if we could get what I drive and help maintain to the AEC Rally, As there are probably a lot of AEC enthusiasts who don't realise that something like her exists :D

But we can't :(

All you need is a Light Railway Acts instrument to provide a siding from Newark Northgate and all the Mainline permissions for your railcar and then you could!

She would need to be towed to somewhere near Newark on the main line, and then got to the show ground, but we won't let her get on a low loader due to the low side skirt

Don't suppose Newark Showground would link themselves to the rail network for you?

Never mind those of us who can't travel down to see you still have the benefit of the wonderful videos you've uploaded.

I have found out from "Bus And Coach Preservation" magazine that the rally will take place on May 28-29 at Newark Showground.

I appreciate all your responses, and hopefully will see you there. :)
