Hi, hoping some one can help me out here, I would like to put a split charger and voltsge dropper on my 1962 mandator,
first question would I be right in thinking it would be posative earth on the lorry
second question can it be changed to negative earth at the 12n socket to connect my caravan to take it to shows and eventually to charge the battery in my living box when completed.
hope some one can assist on this as I would like to get it done before the season starts

Take the vehicle to an auto electrician and explain what you want to do. You are trying to do three different modifications at the same time. You will also need to get the caravan examined to ensure nothing is earthed to its chassis. Your AEC is probably insulated return anyway, but if it has either a positive or negative spurious leakage to earth, then that will need to be sorted otherwise particularly with the mods you propose you may end up the proud owner of a pile of ash.
