I have a non-tilt Ergo cab on a AEC Merryweather Turn Table ladder fire engine. I am wanting to remove all of the front panels to access the fastenings on the chrome trim. Can anyone give me any hints and tips?
Has anyone had the trim rechromed. Becasue of it's complex shape I would imagine that not every re-chromer would be able to do a good job. Can anyone recommned a company?
Thanks in advance for any replies,

The front is quiet easily removed. Take note that it is quite a heavy item and take extra care not to damage it. The grille is held in place with 4bolts 2 on each side, these are situated above the door hinge and jus above the door step on the cab.
After removing the bolts you have to lift up the grille as it has fasteners beneath but they are just there to ease the load from the bolts.
The chrome trim can then be easily unscrewed.
Hope this helps, and by the way that is one good looking machine you have there
